Turn your living room into a pirate’s hideout with pillows and blankets, then gather the crew for a family movie night filled with seafaring adventure and treasure hunts!

Pirate Ship Craft & Race Activity

Crafting Your Pirate Ships:

Fold the paper into a ship shape following the video and decorate however you like, consider drawing pirate skulls or anchors on your ship!

Race Time:

Place the ships in a shallow water area like a bathtub or a large shallow dish or tray. Race them by blowing with a straw or using your breath. The ship that sails the farthest wins!

Pro Tip: Add obstacles or a track to make the race more exciting!

Activity 3

Equipment: a bottle with a lid

Pirate Spin ‘n’ Flick

Get ready for a fun pirate challenge!

  1. Place the unscrewed bottle lid upside down on a bottle (or any small item will do), about 3 to 4 feet away from you. Clear the area of any obstacles.

  2. Cover one eye with your hand, like a pirate with an eyepatch.

  3. Spin around 3 times, then walk over to the bottle and try to flick the lid off with your finger.

  4. Take turns and see who can flick the lid off the most times!
