Activity 2

approx. 20-30 minutes

Ghost Marshmallow Pops

Ingredients:

  • Large marshmallows (about 12)

  • White chocolate (1-2 cups)

  • Candy eyes or mini chocolate chips for the ghost faces

  • Lollipop sticks

  • Sprinkles (optional)

  • A baking sheet/paper for cooling

Instructions:

Insert a lollipop stick into each marshmallow, leaving enough of the stick exposed for easy holding.

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate in 20-second intervals, stirring between each one, until it's smooth and completely melted.

  2. Dip each marshmallow (on the stick) into the melted white chocolate, covering it completely. Gently tap the stick against the edge of the bowl to let any excess chocolate drip off.

  3. While the chocolate is still wet, place candy eyes (or mini chocolate chips) on the marshmallow to make a ghostly face. You can make each ghost’s expression different for added fun!

  4. Place the dipped marshmallows on a piece of baking paper. Let them cool at room temperature or in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes, until the chocolate is set.

  5. If you’d like, sprinkle some coloured sprinkles on top of the chocolate before it sets for extra flair!
