Farmyard Movie Night

Step One: Build your own piggy den for movie night!
Pick a comfy spot and build a soft fort with blankets, sheets, and pillows. Add cuddly animals and snacks, then settle in and enjoy your movie!

Step Two: Here are a few of our favourites:

  1. Babe (1995) G - A heartwarming tale of a pig who wants to be a sheepdog. Stream on Binge, Paramount+ or Amazon Prime.

  2. Charlotte's Web (2006) PG - A tale of friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a clever spider named Charlotte on a farm. Stream on Stan.

  3. Chicken Run (2000) G - A claymation movie about chickens plotting to escape from a farm. Stream on Binge, Paramount+ or Amazon Prime.

  4. Chicken Run Dawn of the Nugget (2023) PG - The sequel is about a rescue mission to save trapped chickens from a nugget factory. Available to stream on Netflix.

  5. Peter Rabbit (2018) PG - A mischievous rabbit teams up with his animal friends to outsmart the grumpy farmer and win the heart of the woman they all love. Stream on BINGE, Stan, and Netflix.

Activity 2

Equipment: egg carton & craft supplies

Egg Carton Animals!

Create farm animals like pigs, cows, and chickens using egg cartons. Paint or colour them in with textas and use any craft materials you have to decorate them. After making your animals, have fun with a farm-themed treasure hunt where one person hides the animals and the others search to find them.

Piggy Madness!

Pop on some music and play "Stuck in the Mud," where one family member becomes the farmer and chases the piggies (the others). When tagged, players freeze with their legs apart, and to be freed, another player must crawl through their legs. The game continues until all players are stuck, with the last one tagged becoming the next farmer.
